Bio

Leizl Joy Nayahangan is a full-time researcher at the Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her main research centers on simulation-based education and curriculum development. Leizl has led national and international needs assessment processes to identify content for simulation-based curricula. She is also interested in assessment for and of learning and is now focusing on implementation science of simulation-based training programs across the different specialties. Leizl is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in healthcare management and is currently enrolled in the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the AMEE Simulation Committee and serves as an Editorial board member of Simulation in Healthcare and BMJ STEL. She continues to advocate for the integration of evidence-based simulation-based training as integral part the medical curricula.
